The unique IEC Reaction Timer measures the reaction time of a person from when a large LED lights or when a beeper sounds. The large LED can illuminate either red or green. The delay time can be initiated by a second person or the test can be initiated by the person being tested by the pressing of a button because there is a RANDOM and completely unpredictable time delay of between 10 seconds and 90 seconds before the light or the beeper energises.

The IEC Reaction Tester can be run with LED only, with beeper only or with both LED and beeper together. Further, it can run as a single decision tester (light on - press button) or as a dual decision, (what colour light ? - which button ?).

By taping one of the press buttons provided to a wooden block, it can easily be arranged as a fun driving reaction timer. Two press buttons and 1m long press button cables are provided.

Ancillary Equipment: 240/12V.AC. PlugPak or classroom power supply, with a digital timer that runs when contacts are closed and stops when opened (same as LB4057-001 or similar).
