This large general purpose air cored coil is similar to a Helmholtz coil but the number of turns is 400. It can lie flat or can stand edgeways from the table. It is complete with 4mm spin free IEC terminals. Average diameter of the coil is 150mm and coil resistance is about 20 ohm. To keep the current at 2A, the maximum voltage permitted is about 20V AC or DC.. Higher currents can be used for short periods.
