Electrostatic rods are used for generating static charges for the teaching and the demonstration of electrostatics. The various material are: Nylon, Acrylic, Polystyrene (Styrene), Polyethylene (Polythene), Glass and Ebonite (vulcanised rubber). Sizes are 300x10mm LxD. The Nylon, Acrylic, Styrene and Polythene rods are moulded by IEC with the name of the plastic moulded into one end. It can be demonstrated that when different materials are rubbed with different cloths, different polarity charges are generated.
